Awesome staff, and appetising food!!!
Ideal base for one night with good wi-fi. Pleasantly decorated rooms, lovely beds. Brilliant location to Church of st Andrew. And short walk to the restaurant, a crossroads and the beer garden.

The handmade pasta at the restaurant looked divine, and I can only imagine how good it could've tasted! The warmth of the staff shone through during our travels. Plus, the vibe of being a dog-friendly hotel is just the cherry on top!
While our continental breakfast was a decent start, I was hoping for a full English to kick off the day. And mate, the carrot and parsnip soup just tasted like a peppery mystery-definitely not worth the coin. The charm of the place still stood strong despite these hiccups.

I adored the warm ambiance of The Old Pheasant, especially the comfortable seating areas which were so inviting for a relaxing evening chat. The accessible layout made it easy for less mobile guests to navigate around.
More variety in the menu would be appreciated.

Couples looking for a cozy stay
We had a fantastic welcome on Halloween afternoon and the staff were great too. The bed was the best we have ever stayed in and the facilities were fantastic.
It wasn't cheap but still acceptable.

Great food and comfy stay!
The room was super clean and super cozy. Plus, our dog was allowed with no extra fees. The food was a highlight, especially the fish and chips, yum! The only thing was that the bar area felt a bit cramped at times, but it didn't ruin our stay.

We had a cozy night in a Twin Room, and the bed was incredibly comfy, definitely the best we’ve experienced! The garden area was perfect for unwinding, with lovely spots to relax and enjoy the fresh air. The only slight letdown was that we couldn’t try the restaurant due to our travel plans, but we’re eager to come back for it soon! 😊
